![]() ![]() We know it's been a long time that you didn’t have official news and even certain that some of you have forgotten us. But today we're going to revive the myth Mach-Creation! As some of you may have seen on the official site SGTNE, a new internal beta 4.05 appeared. After six months of development, this new version was made available to beta testers on 30/12/2010. However, internally, we already had made five beta-test (from 4.00 to 4.04) and a seventh (4.06) is about to be presented to the team. All those who tested this new version are delighted! However, these versions have nothing to do with the old beta (3.xx). Then stop the suspense and reveal the most important information that SGTNE has ever known: SGTNE is now focusing on the multiplayer! Since the 30 December, our beta testers know now the pleasure of shooting Jaffa with Tau'ri’s ammunition, and fear of been shoot by a devastating StaffWeapon controlled by a human player! We will now explain in more details, the various points of this shift and new version. Why this shift? Before reveal the many features that will be proposed, let's look at the decision to move from a solo game to a multiplayer game. Is this a denial? A failure? A mistake? Not at all! It’s the opposite! Summer 2010 has been for us the opportunity to take the time to reflect about SGTNE changes since March 2008 and the new development strategy. After almost two and half years of work, we've made tremendous progress in the development and knowledge mastered by different developers. This led to the very successful and acclaimed output of mini-game “DHD Lost Way" in January 2010 and many betas appreciated by beta testers. However, internal real doubts began to settle on our ability to release a full game compared to the time required for the simple demo (That we still aim). It was time for us to rationalize, because the team spent more time to implement AI and scripts instead of developing the game scenario. The question was simple: how to release as quickly as possible a a complete and playable demo that any Stargate fan will want to download? We have come to the conclusion (with a small tear ) for our dear prologue that a multiplayer game was the best way to propose this. With a development time much shorter, we can offer you dozens gameplay hours, in a realisitc Stargate World on the planets you know and love! And the bet seems almost succeeded. Small compared : In the previous betas on the prologue (3.xx), it was necessary for each tester 15 minutes to go around and test on his side. Since the beginning of 4.xx, we perform 3 to 4 hours test sessions each time! We are in groups, armed, some in SGC uniform, the others in Jaffa armor. Yes, you guessed it, on both sides the number of dead is already important. Be reassured. SGTNE don’t change on the substance, it only changes in the form. Jaffas and soldiers are still present, the difference is that this time, they are simply controlled by players now. And you can be one of them!SGTNE is not dead, and the speed release of the game is growing. NB: the first results come only from beta. The game is not yet ready for public release. We worked hard on systems for deaths, shootings, travels but many things remain to be developed. For six months, Mach Creation works at full speed for the release of SGTNE. Several more months of development will be needed. What to expect in SGTNE multiplayer? A simulation of the Stargate more realistic! This is important to us. By switching to multi, we wanted at all costs keep the Stargate simulation with the travel system between planets. This was perfectly performed by Mach. Although some changes will be made in the next beta the server allows players to travel between different online planets as he wants by using the Stargate. Have you ever seen a Stargate game or mod proposing to travel from one planet to another as desired? Today the free mode imagined by Mach for solo comes true in multiplayer! ![]() As in the Show: P90, StaffWeapons, Zats, Berettas, SPAS 12, Armor, Jaffa Helmets, Abydos, the SGC and much more! Two deadly enemy camps, even in the mind! the SGC and Jaffa clash across the galaxy to accomplish the objectives of their leaders. General O'Neill's troops know their duty, while the Jaffa troops are ready to die for their Gods. Each player can choose his camp. At the same time, everything will encourage you to play your soldier or Jaffa in true RPG: customizing your characters, choose a nickname, choose the God you serve (Jaffa), choice of weapons, etc. ... You do not play a FPS ... You fight for the victory of your camp! ![]() Two different Teams: the game experience based on your choice of camp will be really different. In the show, Jaffas and Tau'ri Soldiers do not fight the same way. You choose your side, but your fighting style too. Do you prefer heavy armor to the glory of your God? The impressive and powerful weapons for the pleasure of seeing the enemy flee before your squad? Or do you prefer the weapons of war, certainly outdated compared to the rest of the galaxy but made to kill with greater efficiency knowing that you must at all costs avoid getting hit? ![]() The Stargate ! The Stargate is not just mentioned, it’s the central element of the game! In SGTNE MultiPlayers it’s essential to hold and protect the Gate. Do not cross the Stargate without being held before and without waiting for the right moment! What planet should we attack? What resistance is expected? What tactics to cross? Who leave behind to secure the Stargate while others players will try to accomplish the goal? You don’t play more SG-1, You are part of the elite of the SGC and Jaffa. ![]() An automatic dialing system: One conclusion of the first beta, was that in a mouse controlled game, use of the DHD was extremely difficult. Speed dial 36 symbols using the mouse without knowing their position on the dial was impossible in Multiplayer. So we implemented a Planets selection system dedicated to the DHD. Dial manually is still possible. ![]() The solo is not (quite) dead! The solo will not be completely abandoned. For now, it remains possible to launch a solo part and visit the SGC. This leaves us a real freedom for the future to add some things. Our priority is and remains the multiplayer. We used mainly the solo for the moment to make tests (limited) and compare with multi. There remains an opening. We are not now sure what we'll do with it, but why not let you do some workouts to improve your skills as fighters? These are just ideas for now … Finally Team admires the current work of Mach who integrates all that has been made in recent years in the multiplayer. To Play is a real pleasure, even if it is not yet completed. Each beta brings surprise and novelty! We are looking forward to seeing you online for fighting and battles likes Heroes (Final episode of Season 7). Edité le 29/01/2011, 13h33 Par X-303

It's a pleasure to help within the limits of my skills Citation : BANDIT still gonna kill you when i see you coming throw my gate:P hehe No problem! I'm waiting for you! We'll see who wins Citation : Mach No, the last chevron is good. it's to avoid an inconsistency in the series on the symbols representing the home planet that we decided to let the same and easiest for everyone, the symbol of the earth. ![]() It may be easier but I still thinking that this is not the most realistic as compared to the show Edité le 11/01/2011, 09h54 Par Barn

sure thing everyone here is on our site with that! @mach(hope you see this):how can you speak about stargate feeling with traveling through worlds and stuff like that when you keep earth as last chevron?? thats total shit! pls for us all! PLS change that!!!!! if you go now with the question: and how the guys gonna dail when they got on a planet? WELL just think! here you go! pls......this is the only stargate game which will bring the gate to us in a proper way...all the others suck so bad...dont ruin your game with that mega failure! way1:(i prefer this way!!!) you can examine the DHD with a laptop or something(like hacking.this could also be something like a minigame) and then you receive the last symbol!the auto dail function also requires that you find the out whats the last symbol in order to work. you can train this.also train bomb defusing and other stuff which you could add and make it a bit rpg like! people could this way take guns or other stuff which they found on planets with them. way more realism! way more exiting! add caves and stuff where you hide awesome things! and then you can share those with your friends ingame! something like a skill tree with inventory! much potential in this way! a lot ways to add stuff and to get stargate feeling! way2:(this way is lame) you just know it! the symbol got shows itself when you get close to the dhd in the upper right corner of the screen way3:(would be ok...) hide something like a hint.a table or some other hidden stuff which you have to find first.and then you can dail home or to another planet! the auto dail function also requires that you find that one first |

That would explain, why the SG - teams don't need to know the point of origin symbol each time they explore a new planet. It would be much easier for us too. |

we spoke about this in the france section already....on the DHD you see the last chevron of earth! the position of the chevrons is on every DHD on every planet the same only the point of origin changed but only the chevron.....the position stayed the same.so its on the same position and thats why they know everytime where it is^^ |
